Ashley Tisdale: Cheerleading World Record!
Ashley Tisdale picks up after her pet pooch Maui and then heads to the set of her new cheerleading series Hellcats on Wednesday (September 1) in Vancouver, Canada. The CW is staging an attempt to break a Guinness World Record for “Largest Cheerleading Dance” at a single venue. On Sept. 4, squads from around the country will participate in a 5-minute choreographed “Hellcats” dance at Frisco Memorial Stadium in Frisco, TX. Hellcats premieres NEXT WEEK. Hard at work up north of the border, Ashley Tisdale was spotted shooting scenes for "Hellcats" in Vancouver, Canada on Wednesday (September 1).
Showing off her toned physique in a little cheerleader ensemble, the
"Aliens In the Attic" actress was joined by her fellow co-stars
including a too cute Aly Michalka. Looking to be a cranky over over the photographer's picture-taking,
Tizzie was battling a minor illness, as she tweeted, "My tummy hurts
today :("
Meanwhile, Ashley will soon be off on the promotional trail to boost
interest in her new CW show, as she kicks things off on "Late Night with
Jimmy Fallon" on September 7 followed by stops at "PIX11 Morning News"

Ashley Tisdale Excited About The Britney Episode of Glee
You know Ashley Tisdale from the High School Musical series. She’ll be back on TV in the new cheerleading series Hellcats.
The Hellcats will train for new routines each week and we’ll get to see their performances. Like Glee with cheerleaders, or so we thought. “No, I think it’s completely different. Lea Michele is a really sweet girl and she came up to me and was like, ‘Thank you so much, your show kind of paved the way for all of us.’ I love watching it. I think Ryan came up with really great characters and a really entertaining show. It’s funny and has all the makings of a great TV show. I’m really excited about the Britney Spears episode.”

THE HELLCATS COMPETE AT QUALIFIERS — Marti (Aly Michalka) is horrified when she discovers Wanda (Gail O’Grady) in the audience at qualifiers and banishes her from the stadium. After Charlotte (guest star Emma Lahanna), Savannah’s (Ashley Tisdale) sister and captain of the Hellcats’ rival team from Memphis Christian college, falls and suffers a serious injury, Savannah is torn between going with her sister to the hospital and staying to compete. Savannah tells Marti her parents stopped talking to her when she decided to transfer from Memphis Christian to the secular Lancer University, forcing Marti to re-think her stance on Wanda attending qualifiers. Meanwhile, Lewis (Robbie Jones) blasts Alice (Heather Hemmens) for putting all their scholarships at risk, and Dan (Matt Barr) takes an interest in Savannah. Sharon Leal also stars.

THE CW GIVES "HELLCATS," "NIKITA" FRIDAY ENCORES
LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The CW is giving viewers a second chance to see its newcomers "Hellcats" and "Nikita." The series - which launch Wednesday, September 8 and Thursday, September 9 - will rebroadcast said openers on Friday, September 10 at 8:00/7:00c and 9:00/8:00c, respectively. The netlet will do the same for their second episodes on Friday, September 17, network sources have confirmed to the site exclusively. Aly Michalka: First Injury On Hellcats Set
Aly Michalka plays with a couple of JJJ coasters like they’re earrings during the 2010 Supergirl Jam in Venice Beach, Calif., on Sunday afternoon (August 22).
The 21-year-old actress chatted with us about claiming the first
injury on set, “For the pilot, I actually twisted my ankle really bad.
I’m fine now, but for a month I was icing my ankle and wrapping it every
which way. In the dance section where Marti auditions or tries out for
the team, I was actually wearing a wrap underneath my cargo pants. I
just hurt my ankle like four days earlier so I conserved my energy and
just decided to go out there and kill it. But that was a tough week.”
Aly also shared with us about working with longtime pal Ashley Tisdale,
“We’ve known each other for years, so it’s great. It’s an amazing
experience to work with someone you just truly and genuinely enjoy being

Ashley Tisdale: Love Makes Me High
Ashley Tisdale holds up her cellphone and drink high to cover her face as she makes her way back to her hotel from a workout in Vancouver on Wednesday afternoon (August 18). Ashley Tisdale and Matt Barr: Hellcats Dinner Duo
Working away on her brand new show, Ashley Tisdale was busy shooting a dinner scene on the set of "Hellcats" in Vancouver, BC on Friday (August 13). Joined by co-star Matt Barr, the "Aliens In the Attic" actress looked cute in a light summery dress as she continues to film episodes as the CW series' premiere draws closer. With the pilot airing on Wednesday September 8 at 9/8C, executive producer Kevin Murphy told E! Online, "Dancing is a huge component, but it exists with one foot in the world of the characters. People are going to tune in for the central characters." As for her Savannah role, Tizzie says she's "completely different" from the Sharpay Evans "High School Musical" role which made her famous.
