Q: One of my favorite shows is Gossip Girl. I pretty much know the whole cast, so what can you tell me that I don't know?
A: Well, Ashley, I don't think you know new cast member Matt Barr. He appears May 11th in the Lily-Keith spin-off episode as a young Keith Van Der Woodsen, who may wind up being Serena's father. "Wait and see, " says Gossip executive producer Stephanie Savage. But she reveals that we'll finally meet Serena and Eric's father in Season 3, and Matt says the show will be introducing an all grown-up version of Keith. So you do the math. A casting call will be going out for an actor who resembles a more mature Matt. I'm thinking Matthew Modine....Offer your suggestions at tvguidemagazine.com.

But we want to at least show you a few moving pictures and so we lied in ambush like Paparazzi.Watch below on a few short shots of Diva Ashley Tisdale.

Legendary hit-writer of multiple grammy nominee songs, Diane Warren, has asked Tody Gad to produce one of her songs with Ashley Tisdale for her upcoming album entitled "Guilty Pleasure". Ashley has previously worked with Diana Warren in the song "Love Me For Me" for her debut album, "Headstrong".
"I work out a lot. I want to be more toned if anything. I like curvy rather than stick-skinny. When you work out, you want to eat healthy but carbs are my downfall."I could eat Italian food like bread, pasta and croissants. Those are my weaknesses because if there is a bread basket in front of me before dinner I will eat the lot."So I need to calm down on that and have more vegetables with my meal and more protein, especially when I'm touring. You don't want to just eat carbs and then go out there and do a show but I've never felt it was a struggle.

“My inspiration for Guilty Pleasure was actually a lot of things. I’m a big fan of Pink and Katy Perry, Pat Benatar…so really with the second album, I wanted to do more guitar-driven music, more pop/rock.”

Ashley chats about her new album, new movie and fans!
With her second studio album, "Guilty Pleasure," due to drop this June and an alien invasion movie (albeit a family-oriented one) hitting theaters in July, the 'High School Musical' starlet is shedding her wholesome bubblegum image to show off her adult side. And who can blame her? After all, she is 23.
Tisdale recently stopped by to demo a couple of tunes from her upcoming CD and to chat about the new trajectory of her career, her own guilty pleasures (Diet Coke and the Olsen Twins rank high), why she's done playing a high-schooler in movies and how she copes with crazy-eyed fans who cyber-stalk her on AOL.
On growing up with her new album, "Guilty Pleasure": "I'm 23 years old, and this is where I am in my life right now. I'm not trying to run away from my fans. Hopefully, they're growing with me. But it's something that's obviously not like 'High School Musical.' It's edgier ... The first album for me was really a growing experience as an artist -- you're just kind of learning yourself. The second one I knew exactly what I wanted, what I wanted to say and the message of the album."
On her own guilty pleasures: "I think everyone knows Coffee Bean is, like, my favorite drink, so that's a guilty pleasure. I think Uggs are my guilty pleasure, Diet Coke, I like watching reruns of 'Full House,' reading Perez Hilton. So I just felt like ['Guilty Pleasure'] was a great title [for my new album] because I don't take myself too seriously, and I'm hoping to be your guilty pleasure [laughs]."
On her movie career: "Right now I'm so into my music that that's really where I'm at. I keep reading other projects, and I have meetings on projects, but really the Fox movie ['They Came From Upstairs'] that comes out this summer is definitely a family movie. That was kind of like the last family kind of thing. I think if I do another movie it has to be ... If I'm in high school -- because I look young for my age because I just do [laughs] -- but if I'm in high school, it has to be like a 'Juno' or an edgy movie. It has to be something that's definitely, you know, more mature. But, yeah, I'm just more into the music right now. Maybe if something really gets me then I'll definitely want to do it, but right now I love what I'm doing."
On staying out of the gossip rags: "Just because I live in Hollywood, I don't really have the Hollywood life. I am someone who went to regular high school and who had a normal life because my parents really wanted me to be normal growing up in this business -- even though I've been in the business since I was 3. I worked in clothing stores. I've always had the best of both worlds -- you know, the normal life and then this is my job. So I'm not into clubbing. I don't drink and I don't smoke, and so I think that has a lot to do with it. I love dancing, so if it's a place you can dance, that's totally somewhere I'd love to go. But I'm so busy all the time that I love to just spend time at home and hang out with my friends. Me and my friends are different. We all like to chill at our house, watch movies and hang out or have parties at each others' houses. It's not like we have to go out somewhere and have paparazzi follow us to the clubs and stuff. I mean, they follow me doing things -- like really weird stuff like going to Coffee Bean or doing errands. So I find it very strange, because I don't put myself out there like that. But what are you gonna do?"
On being cyber-stalked: "I still have my email address from high school -- just so my friends from high school will still have it. However, I'm having problems with fans on AOL [laughs]. They know the email address somehow, but hopefully will never know the password because that would get bad. But I don't want to change it. It's like changing your phone number -- you know, you can't let go of it. No, I can't, I can't [laughs]. But I had a really bad experience one time. I was on the iChat. This is like when you're videoing. I thought it was [my 'Suite Life of Zack and Cody' co-star] Dylan Sprouse because he's always changing his screen name, so I ended up clicking on it. And I was in my bed. And I'm looking, and all of a sudden I see this girl on the other end and she's like ... [makes weird, very shady face]. I was scared out of my mind. Oh, my gosh! I just sat there and was like, Oh my God. It was really scary how she was like kind of creepy [laughs]."

ASHLEY TISDALE TO RELEASE BRAND-NEW ALBUM — GUILTY PLEASURE — JUNE 16, 2009 ON WARNER BROS. RECORDS
POP SINGER AND ACTRESS TAKES CONTROL ON FIRST ALBUM SINCE COMPLETING HER RUN IN BLOCKBUSTER HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL FRANCHISE
March 30, 2009 — Burbank, CA — Ashley Tisdale, the singer and actress known to millions as the star of the blockbuster High School Musical series, will release her second album for Warner Bros. Records, entitled Guilty Pleasure, June 16, 2009.
With an edgy, guitar-driven pop-rock sound, Guilty Pleasure is a creative and mature leap forward for this appealing young singer and songwriter, who launched a career as a solo artist with her gold-certified Top 5 rhythmic-pop debut Headstrong in 2007. "Headstrong was a big learning experience, as it was my first album," Tisdale says. "This time I went in knowing exactly what I wanted to do and the message I wanted to put out there, which is that I'm 23 and I'm not just the cute, bubbly blonde girl you know from Disney. I have a tougher side and I love rock music, which are things people probably don’t know about me. On each album you get to share with the world who you are as a person, and I wanted my fans to see another side to me. This album really reflects who I am at this point in my life."
Guilty Pleasure is indeed an authentic reflection of a girl growing up and speaking her mind on songs like the first single "It's Alright, It's OK" — a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time. "I love break-up songs," Tisdale admits. "On this album, I put to rest a lot of baggage from a previous relationship by venting about the frustration. Everyone can relate to those moments. That song is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it's a message I wanted to get across to other girls."
Working with a host of top-flight producers and songwriters, such as Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Toby Gad (Beyonce, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Emanuel Kiriakou (David Archuleta, Nick Lachey), and Swedish production team Twin (who co-wrote the Headstrong singles "Not Like That" and "Be Good To Me"), Tisdale co-wrote several tracks on Guilty Pleasure, including the feisty "Acting Out," whose lyrics could serve as the album’s mission statement: "Let me out of this cage / I'm not gonna hold back / I'm gonna break these chains / I'm taking control now / Gonna give you something to talk about / It's another side of me I'm acting out." She also co-wrote the propulsive "Overrated," about not changing your personality for a guy, and two ballads "What If" and "Me Without You." Another album highlight is the slinky, confident "Masquerade," perhaps the most sophisticated song Tisdale has recorded to date.
"I’m growing up and this is music I would listen to," Tisdale says. "On this record, I’m not catering to anyone other than to who I am as a person. I think all of these songs have a message and a story that anyone can relate to. I couldn’t sing them if I didn’t connect with them myself."
Guilty Pleasure's first single, "It's Alright, It's OK" ships to Top 40 radio on April 14th — the same day it will be available for purchase via digital retailers. For more on Ashley Tisdale, please visit her official website www.ashleytisdale.com.
